-
"Road to Roubaix is a visual narrative of an old-school, bare-knuckle clash of the finest athletes in the world with each other and one of the world’s most unforgiving sporting environments. The filmmakers will tell the story of the riders, the fans, the mechanics, and the unpredictable landscape that is the setting for the Paris-Roubaix."

91st Giro - Stage 5: Breakaway!
For the first time in this year's Giro, a breakaway went all the way to the finish. A group containing winner Pavel Brutt (Tinkoff), Johannes Fröhlinger (Gerolsteiner), Luis Laverde (CSF Group Navigare), Francisco Perez (Caisse d'Epargne) and David Millar (Slipstream Chipotle) got away after 20 km and held off the entire field. The peloton finally started to chase because Perez was threatening Pellizotti's Pink jersey.
On the final short but steep climb (typical of this year's Giro) up to the finish, Millar looked the strongest of the group and tried to control the situation before Brutt attacked. As Millar tried to jump on his wheel, his chain snapped. This set off an enormous show of strength when Millar proceeded to toss his bike over the guardrail and into the fields some 50 yards away. Remember, these bikes weigh a whopping 15-lbs!!! The next Ironman?
In the chaos surrounding Millar's shot put like toss, Brutt was able to sneak away and hold off his companions by just a few seconds. The peloton rolled through, lead by Bettini, some 31 seconds later. Not much changed in the overall. On to the next stage, the longest of this year and includes another sharp (800m) climb to the finish.
Update on Di Luca's anger: He seemed a bit muted today. Perhaps he's waiting for tomorrow?
